At Bottomley Park - Oval #1, our Valley A2 were undone by Brisbane Saints A2 away from home on Saturday.
Our innings: 10/188. Brisbane Saints A2's: 6/301. A classy 51 off 72 balls from Andy Mercer was the highlight. Max Rogers chipped in with 27. The hosts' best with the ball was Matthew Bromley (four for 60).
Devam Shah was the hero with the ball, claiming a five-wicket haul (five for 48). Credit to Adam Irwin, who made a century (107) for our opponents. Matthew Higham posted 79 not out for the hosts, a polished fifty.
Plenty to take out of this one. We will be looking to get back in the winning column soon. Congratulations to our opponents on the win.
