It wasn't to be for our Valley BMC - Division 2, who were unable to get the better of WPC Bulls - Div2 on a frustrating day.
We made 152, while WPC Bulls - Div2 made 8/155. William Towers batted well for 41 off 62 balls with six fours. Francis Heenan played a handy knock of 39. The hosts' best with the ball was Thibishaan Kantharuban (four for 29).
Zachary Roe led the way for our opponents with 40 off 105 balls. Blake Guest picked up four for 24 off seven overs. Aiden Whitta claimed two for 40 as well.
Not our day, but there's plenty to work with. It's two defeats on the trot, and the side will be eager to bounce back.
Well played to the hosts.
