It was a day to regroup for our Valley District Open Women, who went down against Souths Magpies Senior Open Women in a tough outing.
First up, Souths Magpies Senior Open Women made 7/146 from 35 overs. Piper Veivers was the top scorer for the hosts with 48. Clare Daley grabbed two for 22.
In reply, we finished on 29 from 14.5 overs. Credit to Renata Gonzalez Smith, who took three for 0 for our opponents.
There are plenty of positives to take out of this one.
The girls will be keen to bounce back.
