It just wasn't our day: our Valley Mens 1st Grade lost out to Gold Coast Mens 1st Grade in one to put behind us.
Gold Coast Mens 1st Grade's innings ended at 8/317, ours at 3/43. Connor Nowlan led the way with 23 off 34 balls with four fours.
Tom Hallion was the pick of our bowlers with four for 78. Credit to Stephan Muller, who made a century (136) for our opponents.
We'll take the lessons from this one and go again. We will be looking to get back in the winning column soon.
The side will be keen to bounce back.
