There was no joy for our Valley Mens 1st Grade, who had to give best to Ipswich Mens 1st Grade on a tough day.
With the bat first up, we compiled 285 from 49.5 overs. Josh Neill's 120 off 156 balls was a century to savour. Max Bryant made a brilliant 97 off 74 balls, a well-made fifty. Sean Lutter was the main threat for Ipswich Mens 1st Grade, taking three for 37.
In reply, the visitors passed our total, finishing on 8/289 in 49.2 overs. Lachlan Biggs passed fifty for our opponents, finishing with 67. Noah Emmerson passed fifty for the visitors, finishing with 64. Daniel Desmet bowled beautifully to finish with three for 29.
Congratulations to our opponents on the win.
