Our Valley Mens 2nd Grade had plenty to celebrate after they accounted for Northern Suburbs Mens 2nd Grade with a good team effort.
The scorecard reads Valley Mens 2nd Grade 10/200, Northern Suburbs Mens 2nd Grade 10/162 and 6/78. A classy 71 off 186 balls from Benjamin Rothwell was the highlight. Callum Galvin chipped in with 46. Oliver Lunt was the pick of our opponents' bowlers with three for 1.
The wickets were shared around, with Joshua Lait taking four for 23. Freddie Wallis chipped in with three for 23. For the visitors, Noah Vojinov made 43 off 82 balls.
Revenge, of sorts: our opponents had won our previous meeting this season.
Well done to everyone involved.
