It was smiles all round as our Valley Mens 2nd Grade took care of South Brisbane Mens 2nd Grade on Saturday, winning by 3 runs.
After batting first, we finished on 167 from 43.4 overs. Oliver Dauber's 68 off 105 balls was a half-century to remember. Benjamin Rothwell made 29 off 55 balls. A five-wicket haul to Dushyant Thaman for South Brisbane Mens 2nd Grade (five for 26).
We bowled our opponents out for 164 in 47.4 overs. Thaman top-scored for the visitors with 35. Morgan Galvin was the pick of the bowlers, taking three for 22 off ten overs. Joseph Pratt added three for 26.
Our bowlers made sure our opponents didn't bat out their overs. Great work, everyone.
