Despite some good moments, our Valley Mens 2nd Grade were bettered by Toombul Mens 2nd Grade at Ken Mackay Oval in Mens Competitions.
Across the match we made 10/124 and 9/138, with Toombul Mens 2nd Grade on 232. Benjamin Ferguson played a good hand of 45 off 94 balls. Benjamin Rothwell weighed in with 31 off 46 balls. Five wickets for Carter Corless of the hosts, who returned five for 30.
Five wickets for Samuel Lewis, who returned five for 66 off fifteen overs. Our opponents' best was a half-century from Jonathan Knight, who made 72.
Not our day, but there's plenty to work with. The side will be keen to turn things around after three straight losses.
Thanks to the hosts for the contest.
