Our Valley Mens 2nd Grade couldn't get past University of Queensland Mens 2nd Grade on a tough day.
We made 8/185, while University of Queensland Mens 2nd Grade made 6/192. William Nickelson posted a half-century, making 63 off 45 balls with six fours and one six. Jack Beath contributed 37 off 16 balls. Daniel Desmet played a handy knock of 32. Jacob Bingham bowled impressively for our opponents, a six-wicket haul of six for 47.
Alecz Day passed fifty for the hosts, finishing with 85. Desmet led the way with the ball, finishing with three for 25.
There are plenty of positives to take out of this one. The results haven't gone our way lately, but the side will keep at it. Chins up, everyone.
