It was one to learn from for our Valley Mens 2nd Grade, who were bettered by Western Suburbs Mens 2nd Grade at Jack McLaughlin Oval in Mens Competitions.
Western Suburbs Mens 2nd Grade batted first and put 3/170 on the board from 20 overs. Pranav Susarla passed fifty for our opponents, finishing with 67 not out. Credit to Rashpal Devgun, who made a half-century (51) for the hosts. Oliver Harris led the way with the ball, finishing with two for 19.
Our chase ended at 4/154 from 20 overs. Jack Beath was the pick of our batters with 49 off 34 balls. Harris played a handy knock of 42.
It's eight defeats on the trot, and the side will be eager to bounce back.
Plenty to work on, and plenty to like.
