There was no joy for our Valley Mens 5th Grade, who lost out to Northern Suburbs Mens 5th Grade at Geoff Dymock Oval on Saturday.
With the bat, we made 10/93 and 9/84; Northern Suburbs Mens 5th Grade made 175. Thomas Wex was still there at the end on 26 off 86 balls. A five-wicket haul to Andrew Campbell for our opponents (five for 23).
Carson Thorne starred with the ball, taking four for 46. Liam Byrne posted 57 for the hosts, a fine fifty.
There were some quality individual efforts to build on.
Credit to our opponents, and well played.
