It was a day to regroup for our Valley Mens 5th Grade, who lost to Redlands Mens 5th Grade in a disappointing result.
With the bat, we made 10/169; Redlands Mens 5th Grade made 8/216. Blake Nelson top-scored, making 30 off 68 balls. Ryan Jones added a useful 30 off 96 balls. Credit to Phoenix Zeller, who took three for 31 for our opponents.
Jack Watson claimed an excellent six-wicket haul, finishing with six for 62. Ayaan Khan passed fifty for the hosts, finishing with 57. Jye Coop helped our opponents with 35.
Plenty to take out of this one.
The boys will be keen to bounce back.
