It was one to learn from for our Valley Mens 5th Grade, who had to give best to Wynnum-Manly Mens 5th Grade on a frustrating day.
We batted first and finished with 9/134 on the board from 40 overs. Harry Weibgen led the way with 38 off 66 balls with two fours. Nathan Webb provided good support with 23. Dale Hansen was the main threat for Wynnum-Manly Mens 5th Grade, taking four for 26.
In reply, our opponents passed our total, finishing on 9/135 in 35.2 overs. The wickets were shared around, with Jett Snow taking three for 33.
There are plenty of positives to take out of this one.
Plenty to work on, and plenty to like.
