Good news from our Valley Mens 6th Grade, who defeated Sandgate-Redcliffe Mens 6th Grade with Francis Heenan leading the way.
We batted first and finished with 8/145 on the board from 40 overs. Francis Heenan played a quality hand of 47 off 74 balls.
Sandgate-Redcliffe Mens 6th Grade were all out for 88 in 30.5 overs in reply. Clinton Andersen batted well for our opponents, making 30 off 51 balls. Lachlan Andersen was the pick of our bowlers with four for 14.
It was a terrific all-round effort, with contributions from right through the line-up. That makes it two wins in a row. The win was extra sweet after the visitors got the better of us earlier in the season.
Well played, all.
