Our Valley Womens 1st Grade side were undone by Sandgate-Redcliffe Womens 1st Grade on a tough day.
Batting first, the girls were all out for 182 in 37.4 overs. A classy 78 off 74 balls from Lucinda Bourke was the highlight. Bonnie Berry played a handy knock of 35. For Sandgate-Redcliffe Womens 1st Grade, Mia Croucamp took three for 22 off six overs. Jessica Cremin added three for 22 for our opponents.
The hosts reached the target at 4/184 in 31.4 overs. Our opponents' best was a half-century from Darcey Johnson, who made 69 not out. The hosts also got 46 from Matisse Easton. With the ball, Bourke did the damage, claiming three for 44 off ten overs.
There are plenty of positives to take out of this one. We'll go again.
