It was a tough day out for our Valley Womens 1st Grade, who were unable to get the better of Sunshine Coast Womens 1st Grade on Sunday in Womens Competitions.
First up, Sunshine Coast Womens 1st Grade made 6/260 from 50 overs. Credit to Georgie Boyce, who made a century (118) for the visitors. Tarah Staines made a stylish 53 not out for our opponents, a well-deserved half-century. Our best with the ball was Gemma Porter, who took two for 37.
In reply, we finished on 212 from 46.4 overs. Porter made a superb 68 off 96 balls, a well-made fifty. Grace Abdy also got among the runs with 49 off 89 balls. Kalea Moore claimed four for 37 for the visitors.
That's three losses in a row, but the team will keep working hard. Plenty to work on, and plenty to like.
