At Peter Easton Oval, our Valley Womens 1st Grade were unable to get the better of University of Queensland Womens 1st Grade in Womens Competitions.
Batting first, we posted 7/194 from 50 overs. A classy 68 off 84 balls from Kira Holmes was the highlight. Grace Abdy brought up a polished half-century, finishing with 55 not out off 84 balls.
University of Queensland Womens 1st Grade knocked off the runs, finishing on 6/195 in 44.4 overs. Laura Marshall posted 68 for our opponents, a quality fifty. Taylor Stumer posted 57 for the hosts, a good fifty. Ella Phillips starred with the ball, taking two for 30.
Not our day, but there's plenty to work with.
That's two losses in a row, but the side will keep working hard. We'll go again.
