There was no joy for our Valley Womens 1st Grade, who went down to Western Suburbs Womens 1st Grade in Womens Competitions action.
Our innings closed at 7/93 from 20 overs. Ayla Johnson's 31 off 25 balls was the highlight with the bat. Grace Abdy was still there at the end on 24 off 35 balls. Ashleigh Sims returned three for 15 for Western Suburbs Womens 1st Grade.
The visitors knocked off the runs, finishing on 0/96 in 17.3 overs. Lily Bassingthwaighte made a quality 54 not out for our opponents, a well-deserved half-century. Abbie Trevethan made a useful 38 for the visitors.
A tough day at the office, but one to learn from.
We'll go again.
