It was a disappointing outing for our Valley Womens 2nd Grade, who fell short against Northern Suburbs Womens 2nd Grade on a tough day.
Northern Suburbs Womens 2nd Grade batted first and reached 6/94 from 20 overs. The best of our opponents' batters was Shelly-Louise Chattin with 34. Our best with the ball was Emily Honsig-erlenburg, who took three for 11. Madison Laing also took two for 11.
Needing 95 to win, we finished on 9/79 from 20 overs. Emma Swanepoel top-scored, making 28 off 23 balls. Audrey Klein bowled nicely for the visitors, a five-wicket haul of five for 11.
Not our day, but there's plenty to work with. Plenty to work on, and plenty to like.
