It was one to learn from for our VDCC C1 Diehards, who had to give best to Carina Cricket Club Senior Mixed in a tough outing.
Batting first, we posted 7/130 from 35 overs. Yuvraj Keeney made a valuable 43 off 72 balls. Connor Pukk added a useful 20 off 54 balls. Sean Mason bowled well for Carina Cricket Club Senior Mixed, taking three for 34.
In reply, our opponents passed our total, finishing on 6/134 in 25.4 overs. Credit to Brad Jackson, who made a half-century (60) for the hosts. Patrick Muller bowled nicely to finish with two for 15. Isaiah Wijemanne weighed in with two for 31 off seven overs.
We'll take the lessons from this one and go again.
We'll go again.
