It was smiles all round as our Valley DCC B2 knocked over Brisbane Saints B2 on Saturday at Bottomley Park - Oval #1.
First up, Brisbane Saints B2 made 9/190 from 35 overs. The hosts' best was a half-century from Taylor Bennett, who made 85. Benjamin McGrath was the pick of the bowlers, taking three for 17 off seven overs.
In reply, the side reached the target at 5/192 in 32.3 overs. Benedict lee was the pick of our batters with 43 off 54 balls. Nicholas Fenech finished 39 not out off 59 balls. Paul Hanssens chipped in with 36.
That makes up for our loss to our opponents earlier in the season.
Congratulations to the team on a cracking result.
