At Jim Neibling Oval, our Valley DCC B2 were outplayed by Cleveland Cougars B2 with lessons to take away.
Cleveland Cougars B2 batted first and made 7/191 from 35 overs. Jack Boyle made a good 69 for the visitors, a well-deserved half-century. Josh Webb was the pick of the bowlers, taking three for 24 off five overs.
Our chase ended at 54 from 19.4 overs. The top score came from Hayden Jones, who made 18 off 21 balls. For our opponents, Maxwell Poke took four for 18 off five overs.
The visitors were simply too good on the day. It's been a tough run, and we'll be working hard to turn it around.
The group will be keen to bounce back.
