Our Valley DCC C2 had to settle for a loss as they fell short against Everton C2 on a day to learn from.
Batting first, Everton C2 posted 9/155 from 35 overs. Our opponents' best was a half-century from Patrick Keane, who made 52. Rishab Naik was the pick of the bowlers, taking four for 44 off seven overs. Matthew Warner finished with three for 34.
In reply, we finished on 100 from 26 overs. Harry Bridle's 16 off 22 balls was the highlight with the bat. A five-wicket haul to Timothy Nelson for the visitors (five for 35).
There were some quality individual efforts to build on.
Chins up, everyone.
