In QSDCA Competitions, our Valley A2 got the better of Brisbane Saints A2 by seven wickets at Alan Petigrew Oval on Saturday.
Brisbane Saints A2 set the target, making 6/127 from 35 overs. Francis Heenan was the pick of our bowlers with two for 20. Andy Mercer backed up well, taking two for 24.
In reply, the side reached the target at 3/129 in 31 overs. The top score came from Aaron Convery, who made 48 off 97 balls. Harry Weibgen remained unbeaten with 23 off 33 balls.
It was a superb all-round effort, with contributions from right through the line-up.
