Despite some good moments, our Valley DCC C2 lost their match against Bulimba C2 on Saturday at Bulimba Memorial Park.
Bulimba C2's innings ended at 8/244, ours at 10/206. Jax Beikoff made an excellent 77 off 86 balls, a well-made fifty. Anthony Blanch also got among the runs with 45 off 142 balls. Luke Keeney added a useful 40 off 74 balls. Credit to Tasman Bunkum, who claimed a six-wicket haul (six for 62) for our opponents.
Ophelia Donohue was the pick of the bowlers, taking three for 10 off seven overs. Aidan Schimke added two for 60. The hosts' best with the bat was Bunkum, who made 45.
There were some good individual efforts to build on.
Chins up, everyone.
