At Norm McMahon Oval, our Valley Mens 3rd Grade lost to Wynnum-Manly Mens 3rd Grade on a frustrating day.
We batted first and finished with 153 on the board from 38.1 overs. Joshua Martin played a classy hand of 26 off 49 balls. Isaac Lutz weighed in with 23 off 28 balls. Jackson Steinhardt claimed four for 9 for Wynnum-Manly Mens 3rd Grade.
In reply, our opponents passed our total, finishing on 6/154 in 32.1 overs. Preston Wells posted 77 for the visitors, a fine fifty. Nissanpal Singh Saroya starred with the ball, taking two for 38.
Not our day, but there's plenty to work with. The results haven't gone our way lately, but the side will keep at it. Congratulations to our opponents on the win.
