In Mens Competitions, our Valley Mens 1st Grade proved too strong for Ipswich Mens 1st Grade to make it three wins in a row.
With the bat, we made 10/253; Ipswich Mens 1st Grade made 10/195. Dylan McLachlan made a cracking 88 off 109 balls, a well-made fifty. Credit to Charlie Lachmund, who claimed a five-wicket haul (five for 62) for our opponents.
With the ball, Joseph Pratt did the damage, claiming three for 47 off 14.5 overs. Harry Sheppard made a polished 56 for the visitors, a well-deserved half-century.
A superb result for the side.
It was a good way to turn the tables on our opponents, who beat us last time we met. Onwards and upwards.
