There was plenty to celebrate as our Valley Mens 5th Grade got the win against Redlands Mens 5th Grade thanks to Scott Read's 31.
We bowled Redlands Mens 5th Grade out for 95 in 37.2 overs. Fifty for Private player, who made 53 for the visitors. Jett Snow picked up four for 15 off seven overs. There were also wickets for Charlie Towers (two for 21).
In reply, the boys reached the target at 6/96 in 25.2 overs. Scott Read's 31 off 29 balls was the highlight with the bat. Solid support came from Thomas Wex, who made 20.
Bowling our opponents out proved decisive. It was a good way to turn the tables on the visitors, who beat us last time we met.
Congratulations to the side on a great result.
