In QSDCA Competitions, our Valley DCC C2 lost to Ashgrove Astronauts C2 on a day to learn from.
First up, we made 8/140 from 35 overs. Jax Beikoff played a fine hand of 38 off 43 balls. Lincoln Garrad was the pick of Ashgrove Astronauts C2's bowlers with three for 10.
In reply, the visitors passed our total, finishing on 7/141 in 32.4 overs. The best of our opponents' batters was Logan May with 34. Martin Crotty bowled beautifully to finish with three for 31.
Not our day, but there's plenty to work with.
The group will be keen to turn things around after six straight losses. Congratulations to the visitors on the win.
