It was a satisfying day for our Valley Womens 1st Grade, who cruised past Sunshine Coast Womens 1st Grade at Kerry Emery Oval in Womens Competitions.
We batted first and put 9/235 on the board from 50 overs. Sianna Ginger brought up a polished half-century, finishing with 86 off 95 balls. Megan Jones added a useful 40 off 70 balls.
In reply, Sunshine Coast Womens 1st Grade finished on 111 from 37.4 overs. Ginger bowled well to finish with three for 13.
Bowling the hosts out proved decisive.
Two wins on the trot now for the girls. We'd lost to our opponents earlier this season, so this one was especially pleasing. Thanks to the hosts for the contest.
