Despite a solid effort, our Valley Mens 3rd Grade went down to Sandgate-Redcliffe Mens 3rd Grade at Trevor Barsby Oval on Saturday.
Our innings: 9/132. Sandgate-Redcliffe Mens 3rd Grade's: 298. A classy 56 not out off 95 balls from Ajay Emmanuel was the highlight. Our opponents' best with the ball was Jacob Turner (three for 14).
Benjamin Ferguson tore through the batting order, taking five for 69. Abhimanyu Yadav posted 51 for the hosts, a fine fifty.
Credit to our opponents, who played well. The team will be keen to turn things around after three straight losses.
On to the next one.
