Our Valley Mens 5th Grade saw off Sandgate-Redcliffe Mens 5th Grade in a pleasing performance.
First up, we made 7/218 from 40 overs. Nathan Webb made an excellent 79 off 87 balls, a well-made fifty. Fifty for Thomas Wex, who finished with 63 not out off 48 balls.
Sandgate-Redcliffe Mens 5th Grade were all out for 164 in 37 overs in reply. Fifty for Owen Regan, who made 86 for our opponents. Lachy Taylor was the hero with the ball, claiming a five-wicket haul (five for 45).
Contributions came from right through the line-up. We'd lost to the hosts earlier this season, so this one was especially pleasing. Two wins on the trot now for the boys.
Congratulations to the team on a terrific result.
